BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2018

CALL TO ORDER:

President Mike Brandt called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M. The meeting was held at the Pine Senior Center Dining Room.

Mike led the Pledge of Allegiance

 

MEMBERS PRESENT:       Mike Brandt (President), Melvin Palmer (Vice-President), Brenda Darling (Secretary), Nancy Hubbs (Treasurer), Janet Brandt

MEMBERS ABSENT:

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: 

Nancy moved to approve the minutes of the July 25, 2018 meeting as presented. Janet seconded.

Motion Passed.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Fuel Reduction

  • Beginning Balance:                $40,880.84
  • Deposit:                                   $866.50 (Food Truck)
  • Expenses:                                $3854.88 (phone bill, insurance, brush pit)
  • Ending Balance:                     $37,892.46

 

Fire on the Rim

  • Beginning Balance:                $46,610.01
  • Deposit:                                   $6577.00 (FOTR table, sponsors & vendors)
  • Expenses:                                $1980.76 (FOTR insurance, tablecloths, dinner tickets)
  • Ending Balance:                     $51,206.25

Edward Jones

  • Total Portfolio Value:              $61,001.20

Mel moved to accept Treasurer’s Report as presented. Janet seconded.

Motion Passed.

Our insurances are all due in July and they have paid.

OLD BUSINESS:

Brush Pit

The Pine Brush Pit will close for the year at 4:00 PM on November 18, 2018. Reopening is scheduled for April of 2019, depending on weather.

Fire on the Rim Mountain Bike Race

The FOTR volunteer meeting was just held during the preceding hour. The race starts at 7:30 am, 7:45 am and 8 am. 160 + riders have registered so far. Updates can be seen by all on the FOTR website https://www.fireontherim.com/. Children’s sign up can be done on-line but most do so on-site.

Payson Food Truck Festival

PSFR bought the liquor license for the Payson Food Truck Festival and then ran the beer garden which resulted in PSFR receiving 25% of the proceeds ($2,803.50). We also sold water and Gatorade. All proceeds go into our general Fuel Reduction fund which helps pay for the brush pit.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Wednesday September 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Pine Senior Dining Room

Meetings are set for the last Wednesday of each month.
