The communities of Pine and Strawberry are unincorporated areas of Gila County and within the Tonto National Forest. Whether you own private property or not, if you live within the unincorporated areas of Pine and Strawberry, you are under Gila County and the Tonto National Forest ordered Fire Restrictions.
It’s a Class B misdemeanor to violate fire restrictions or enter closed areas, which means a fine of up to $5,000 for an individual and $10,000 for organizations; or imprisonment of up to six months, or both.
