Trail Maintenance

Thank you for volunteering for the Pine Strawberry Fuel Reduction Trail Crew Rock Stars.  Here is what we have planned for the month of October:

>>Tuesday, October 1, 8 am – meet at LDS Church parking area (corner of Hwy 87 and Pine Canyon Road, we will caravan to the trail site)

>>Tuesday, October 8, 8 am – meet at LDS Church parking area  (corner of Hwy 87 and Pine Canyon Road, we will caravan to the trail site)

>>Tuesday, October 15, 8 am – meet at the entrance to the Mohawk Trail in Pine          (corner of Mohawk Street & Tonto Drive)

>>Tuesday, October 22, 8 am – meet at the Walnut Trail / Pine Strawberry Trail (on Hardscrabble Road/FS 428)

>>Saturday, October 26, 8 am – meet at the Pine Trailhead (if the Trailhead is still closed by then, meet at the Ponderosa Market parking lot)

>>Tuesday, October 29, 8 am – meet at the Pine Trailhead (if the Trailhead is still closed by then, meet at the Ponderosa Market parking lot)

We welcome newcomers to our team to learn about building sustainable trails.  No commitment, join us whenever you can.  While doing trail maintenance, please bring gloves, water and snacks to keep your energy up and for safety, please wear long sleeves, long pants and closed-toe shoes.  Tools, training and safety briefings are provided.  It’s a good way to meet people, get exercise, and everyone works at their own pace and capabilities.  Plus you come away with a great feeling of accomplishment.
