Pine Strawberry Fire Department
Fuels Pickup Schedule
FUELS ROUTE The fuels route is divided into 8 zones. Four in Pine and four in Strawberry. We will clear each zone completely before moving on to the next zone. For brush pickup please place branches, small rounds (nothing longer than 8 feet in length & larger than 6 inches in diameter), pine needles and bags of leaves beside the road. Leaves and pine cones must be bagged, needles can be piled. Please do not put trash, garbage or lumber with your brush. Due to time constraints we are not able to sort these items from your brush and will not make the pickup from your property. This service is for residential property owners only. We do not haul for commercial tree trimmers and landscapers. Please fill out the “Community Worksheet” and send it in to the P/S Fire Dept. It is an integral part of the government grant that is sponsoring the Fuels Reduction program. The department gets grant reimbursment for the hour that is spent clearing your lot. Please attach a copy of any receipt for monies spent on the clearing of your lot. The department gets reimbursment of all receipts . We also use the RPAP pit on the Control Road (follow the signs) for those that don’t want to leave their brush beside the road. It is open Sundays at 8:00 am and is free. There are a few citizens who are still not filling out the paperwork for the fire dept crews to pickup the brushpiles. Everyone needs to do this so the grant money will continue to pay for the project. You can pick up the form at either fire station or Click here for the community work sheet. Thank you for your patience as we try to get to everyone in a timely fashion.
