Trying Out Wildfires Near Me

I recently came across a new service called Wildfires Near Me that provides information from multiple sources on wildfires; by setting up an account, you can create notifications sent to you via text message and/or email.

The default view is a national map, centered on Kansas, where all the icons represent reports from different sources:

You can create locations that provide more localized information, this is my map view with Strawberry set as one of my locations (you can create multiple ones to monitor):

Not much wildfire action near Strawberry today, that's a good thing!

The site is new, and they are working out geolocation issues so that your default view should be your current location (or one set in your profile). Just clicking one regional dot brought up information on the Ring Fire:

The site also works on a mobile, here is the site viewed on my iPhone:

Is this useful? What tools or services do you use to get current fire information? Let us know in the comments, we can compile them into a resource here on the site.
